2 - Year Tourism and Events Management (TEM)

The two-year Tourism and Events Management program prepares students to earn national certificates on local guiding, tourism promotion, travel services, attractions and theme park operations, front office, and events management. The combination of classroom activities, laboratory training in state-of-the-art facilities, and field experiences develop the students' communication and customer service skills necessary for a career in the tourism and events management field.

 Competencies

  • Plan and develop tourism and event concepts, proposals, and bids
  • Conduct and manage tour itineraries and events
  • Perform front office services using the industry-standard Property Management Systems (PMS)
  • Book travel-related reservations using the industry-standard Reservation Systems
  • Provide club reception and porter services
  • Present a tour proposal for a group of clients
  • Build strong client relations
